Nemesio Miranda is one of the highly-acclaimed contemporary artists of Angono, Rizal. He is known to introduce "Imaginative Figurism" in art. His family is a clan of artists. In fact, his youngest son, Don, already reaped awards at a young age of 12. His other kids have different styles in painting as well.
We went to their home cum art gallery one lazy Sunday afternoon. For a small entrance fee of 30 pesos, we were able to go around and see his, and even his kids', works. With us were two foreign tourists. One of them, a Japanese, showed us a Japanese book where Nemiranda's works were featured. He said that Nemiranda is very famous in Japan and that is the reason why he went to Angono and visit the famed artist's abode.
